2023-24 Global Reporting Program Fellowship

The Global Reporting Program selects ten 2nd-year Master of Journalism students by application to work on a year-long international journalism project. Students study global reporting techniques and experiment with media through a “teaching hospital” approach to journalism education. The program is run like a newsroom, and partners with major media organizations so that students receive practical, professional experience.

As part of the course, students are required to do in-depth research and reporting on a specific topic. The project for 2023/2024 was the upcoming Paris Olympics. My main focus was on housing, displacement, and the French government’s program to relocate unhoused migrants out of the city of Paris in the year leading up to the games.
